Product Design
The Department
of Product Design teaches the basic principles involving the process
of collecting data and designing a wide range of products in order
to suit the needs of the consumer. It is a continuous process of improving
and modifying existing designs and trends. The course includes the
knowledge of products in processes, human engineering and marketing
realities, with a strong concern to relate the product or system to
the visual and social environment of its users. Exposure to working
in different materials such as fiber glass, wood, plaster and polymers
allows the students to understand the particular qualities and properties
of the various materials, available to the product designer.
