Under-Graduate Programme

Teaching & learning
Following are the Departments awarding undergraduate degrees in there respective fields:

The study of practical subjects supported by a theoretical framework based on the disciplines of History of Art and Architecture, Communication, Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat. The two latter subjects are required to form an essential part of the First Year Foundation course only.

The College actively participates in organizing regular student trips within Pakistan and to neighboring countries. This enables students to discern the diversity and richness of Pakistan's heritage and its outreach within the region. Student exchange programs promote the sharing of collective histories of art and culture.

First Year Foundation Course
All students study the Foundation Course in their first year. The course provides a practical and theoretical introduction to the visual arts. It offers opportunity to learn the basic techniques of Drawing, Sculpture, Drafting and Design. It also provides an introduction to the traditional and current cultural life of Pakistan. Visits to historical monuments, contemporary building of architectural value, galleries, museums, industrial and commercial units are an integral part of the program.

Project based teaching is undertaken in studio sessions and supplemented by taught courses. Students are encouraged to make use of the library. The faculty for the courses is drawn both from the teaching departments of the College as well as from a wide range of visiting tutors.

Students are required to pass in all subjects to be eligible for promotion to the second year.
