International cooperation and cultural exchange have become very important for institutions who think and act globally. The need to establish links with international institutes was felt strongly. Initial links were established through a variety of activities like international film festivals, international exhibitions and artist-in-residence programmes.

The College has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a number of institutions: The College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, Australia, Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, Paris, France and Instituto Superior de Arte Havano Cuba for faculty and student exchange program. A program of an academic link in the field of sustainable design is being finalized with the University of Edgehill, United Kingdom. An MOU is established between the NCA and Visual Islamic and Traditional Arts Programme, (VITA), Prince’s Foundation, UK.
