Performing Arts Festival Categories and Guidelines

Your institute may choose to participate in any or all of the following three categories:


1. Music (Singing):

  • Language: Any regional language (Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi, Brahvi, Seraiki, etc.)
  • Submission: Initial short videos or voice recordings must not exceed 5 minutes and must be compiled and sent through (Email, Vimeo, YouTube, WeTransfer).
  • Group singing: Max 8 performers and performance duration up to 10 minutes
  • Solo singing: Performance duration up to 5 minutes

2. Theatre:

  • Language: Bilingual (Urdu, English, and Regional Languages)
  • Duration: Maximum 30 minutes
  • Participants: Maximum 10-15
  • Script submission: Required in advance for approval (submit via given email)

3. Dance:

  • Submission: Initial short videos should not exceed 5 minutes and must be compiled and submitted through links (Email, Vimeo, YouTube, WeTransfer).
  • Group Performance:
    Maximum: Up to 10 performers
    Duration: Up to 15 minutes
    Type: Provincial/ folk/ classical
    Duration: Up to 10 minutes
    Type: Classical Dance

Submission Requirements:


  • CV for each participant, including full name and contact information has to be submitted.
  • All participants must be officially nominated through their educational institutes.
  • An acknowledgement letter must be issued by the Head of the Institute listing the names of the nominated performers and their categories.
  • The institution fee is Rs. 5,000 per entry. After receiving the acceptance letter from The NCA Triennale Committee, the institution is required to submit the entry fee to the NCA account given in the acceptance letter.

Terms and Conditions:


  • Selected participants must commit to the full duration of the program and all scheduled performances.
  • Performances will be held at the National College of Arts, Lahore and Alhamra Cultural Complex.
  • Travel, accommodation, and living cost will not be covered; out-of-city participants will make their own arrangements
  • Venue list and schedule will be finalized by The NCA Triennale Committee and shall be communicated to the participants in due time.
  • Basic provisions such as a regular sound system, lights, mics, plain backdrop will be provided.
  • Separate changing rooms for male and female performers will be provided.
  • Makeup, hairstyling, and costumes will not be provided.
  • All submissions will be reviewed by a professional screening panel, and selected applicants will be notified via email.
