Workshops Themes, Subjects, and Venues

Applicants are encouraged to plan and conduct workshops —on subjects aligning with their area(s) of interest and inspired by the central theme of the Triennale:

Kasb-e-Kamal Kun; Keh Aziz-e-Jahan Shavi

(seek excellence in the work of the hand, so you may be admired by the world)
This theme celebrates the mastery of the working hand—a form of excellence that transcends conventional knowledge, familiar creative boundaries, and cerebral constructs.

The scope of inquiry to be undertaken and explored as part of the Triennale is broad, affording participants the freedom to design detailed event frameworks that celebrate mastery of the working hand in any discipline of creative arts (including all disciplines currently being taught at the National College of Arts).

The workshops can be planned in spaces, including but not limited to the NCA Campus premises and the Tollinton Block, NCA; artist studios; craft centers; workshops and production units in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Gilgit Baltistan. The proposals will be reviewed by the Triennale Working Committee as part of the logistical planning process for budgeting, registrations, and overall coordination.
