Mushaira ‘Mata-e-Looh-o-Qalam’ was hosted at the National College of Arts as part of 150 year celebrations, honouring the power of words and creative expression. The event was graced by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, who highlighted the significance of literature in shaping cultural narratives and artistic thought. The Shakir Ali Auditorium was filled with poetry lovers, students, and literary enthusiasts who gathered to witness this remarkable tribute to the art of words.

The gathering featured some of the most distinguished poets of our time, whose verses resonated deeply with the audience. We had the privilege of hosting Kishwar Naheed, Anwar Shaoor, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Ashfaq Hussain, Abbas Tabish, Arvinder Chamak, Adnan Baig, Anjum Saleemi, Shakeel Jazib, Rahman Faris, Shaheen Abbas, and Afshan Sajjad, with Iftikhar Arif sahib presiding over the Mushaira.

Each poet brought their unique voice and perspective, making the event a profound exploration of emotions, heritage, and artistic brilliance. Their powerful words celebrated themes of love, resistance, identity, and the beauty of language as NCA continues to celebrate creativity, heritage, and artistic expression, keeping the legacy of poetry alive for generations to come.
